The last time Italy recorded such a low number of fatalities was 38 days ago, on March 17, when it posted a tally of 454.
Elsewhere, the figures for active positive cases, those hospitalised and in intensive care have continued to drop at a steady rate.
As of Friday, there have been 192,994 positive tests of COVID-19 (+3,021), with 106,527 of them currently active (-321).

As of Friday, there have been 192,994 positive tests of COVID-19 (+3,021), with 106,527 of them currently active (-321).
A total of 60,498 people have recovered (+2,922) and 25,969 have died.
Out of the 192,994 active cases, 81,710 are in self-isolation (+576), 22,068 are in hospital with symptoms (-803) and 2,137 are in intensive care (-94).
There have now been 1,642,356 tests, an increase of 62,447 since yesterday.
