Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho admits he was “really shy” when he joined Inter.
The 24-year-old joined the Nerazzurri from Vasco da Gama for €4m, but failed to make an impact and was sold on for €13m.
“It was definitely difficult,” Coutinho told Sky Sports UK.
“I was really shy when I was back in Brazil so coming to Europe was very tough. I was arriving as a kid fresh from Brazil into a big team like Inter with a lot of star names. But I feel so much better now.”

Coutinho also revealed that Lucio was “really helpful” after his move to San Siro, where he scored five goals in 47 appearances.
