Inter teenager Philippe Coutinho has confirmed that he will end the season on loan at Espanyol in Spain.

“I’ve come here to pick up my stuff and say goodbye to everyone,” the Brazilian told Sky Sport Italia as he arrived at Appiano Gentile.

“However, I’ll only be away for five months. I need to play and I think I can do well at Espanyol before returning here.

“I’d like to thank all of the fans but I’ll be back. I’m an Inter supporter myself and I think we can win the League this season…”

Coutinho is still just 19 and he joined the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2010 after impressing at Vasco Da Gama.

The attacking midfielder scored one goal in five Serie A games this term. He also featured in three Champions League ties for the Beneamata.
