Now it has been confirmed that the club can extend his deal with a clause, but they won’t do so if Sousa wants to leave.

“We have an option with the Coach, it’s not a problem,” Corvino told reporters as he visited a sports day in Florence.
“However, it’s not exercisable for us if there is not a sharing of ideas.”
Corvino was also asked about Gonzalo Rodriguez’s renewal.
“I called him in late-August to discuss the renewal, and we’ve already been clear. We’re waiting for his agent to deal with the situation.”
