Joao Mario came off the bench for the decisive goal at the Stadio Barbera.
“The team put in a good performance and the loss was undeserved,” the Coach told Rai Sport.
“There were some situations that could’ve been evaluated differently. We deserved a better result than this. Ilija Nestorovski didn’t score again, but he does work very hard for the team. The opposition have also figured him out now compared to the start of the season.”
The Sicilians had threatened to sack Corini last week, but Roberto De Zerbi refused to come back after his dismissal.
Now there are reports Palermo are ready to contact Davide Ballardini, who was fired two games into the season.
“If there is just a one per cent chance of safety, we’ve got to give it our all. Otherwise I won’t stand for it,” added the Coach in his Press conference.
Does that mean he is considering a resignation?
“I am considering many things. I love my work and at Palermo give even more, because I had extraordinary years here as a player. I have to talk to the club and understand what it is they want to do.
“We must save our dignity. As things stand, safety would be a sporting miracle. I need to speak to (new director of sport Nicola) Salerno. We’ll see what happens.
“I have to understand what the project is here, otherwise it’ll be difficult to carry on.”
