Antonio Conte has reached a verbal agreement with Tottenham Hotspur and will reportedly sign the deal on Tuesday morning.

Sky Sport Italia journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed Conte is set to pen a deal with the Lilywhites tomorrow and commit to the club until June 2023.

The former Inter coach, who turned down a move to Spurs during the summer, has been convinced by Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici after flying to London on Monday.

He replaces Nuno Espirito Santo at the helm in North London and will take over a Spurs side at ninth in the Premier League after 10 games.

Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked after the 3-0 defeat to Manchester United last weekend, a team that had been linked with Conte in recent days.

The Italian, however, is set for a return to London, where he managed Chelsea between 2016 and 2018.

The 52-year-old, who won the Scudetto with Inter in 2020-21, helped the Blues win the Premier League in his first season at Stamford Bridge and picked up the FA Cup during his second year in England.

  1. @ Marco, I belive Conte would have been a perfect replacement for Ole. For Spurs I really don’t think they have the squad to bring out the best in Conte tactic. Maybe a little additiona in January could make them qualify for europa.
