Antonio Conte has ruled himself out of the running for the Napoli job, so alternative options include former Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Julen Lopetegui.

The Partenopei are looking for a potential change of management after Rudi Garcia started with a dismal run of results, including five wins, two draws and three defeats between Serie A and the Champions League.

Conte emerged as the main candidate for the job, but today released a statement via Instagram Stories assuring that his priority was to continue taking time out from work and enjoying his family.

Sky Sport Italia also report that this is not a tactic, but rather Conte does not feel ready to get back into work so soon after leaving Tottenham Hotspur by mutual consent in March.

Napoli must therefore look to other options and Spanish site Relevo suggest a candidate is Lopetegui, who most famously was the coach of the Spain national team, Sevilla and until August 8 at Wolves, before he left the Premier League outfit by mutual consent.

The Corriere dello Sport and Sport Mediaset both suggest it was Lopetegui’s people who contacted Napoli to offer himself.

Previous names mentioned were former Olympique Marseille boss Igor Tudor.
