Antonio Conte is the favourite to take over the Italian national team, but he must take a pay-cut to be offered the job.

The former midfielder mutually terminated his contract at Juventus last night after a fall out over strategy.

Despite winning three-straight Scudetti, the Coach has opted not to try for a fourth after it was rumoured that the club were willing to sell Paul Pogba or Arturo Vidal.

As such, Corriere dello Sport expect the 44-year-old to be offered the Azzurri post after Cesare Prandelli resigned following the World Cup.

The paper believe though, that Conte must first accept a pay-cut from his Juve wages in order to be given the post.

If he can agree to that however, the tactician is almost guaranteed to be leading the national team at Euro 2016.
