Antonio Conte is confident Juventus can rediscover their form in the Europa League and have found “weak spots” in Lyon.

The first leg kicks off at the Stade de Gerlande on Thursday at 20.05 UK time (19.05 GMT).

“We should be proud that we are the only Italian team left in Europe for the second season running,” noted the Coach in his Press conference.

“We do feel the pressure of having to bring some lustre back to Italian football and, seeing as we are on our own, we’ll try to go as far as possible even throughout difficulties.

“If we want to compare who has the most injuries, it’s a real battle between us and Lyon! In the last round of the Europa League I only had three players available on the bench, so it’s certainly not an easy time for us.

“Lyon are a strong side and have won several titles in recent years. I certainly think their attack is the most important area, as it is full of quality and physical strength with players like Gomis and Lacazette.

“We studied them, know their strengths and believe we know a few weak points too. We will try to take control of the game tomorrow, knowing the first leg is very important to get qualification on the right track, especially as it is away from home.”

The Bianconeri have stuttered of late with an injury crisis and suffered their first Serie A defeat since October when beaten 2-0 by Napoli on Sunday.

Today Roma play Parma in a game that was rained off on February 2, so by this evening the gap at the top of the table could be just eight points.

“I hope the defeat to Napoli can give us the strength to push on through the final rush. I think that game can be put down as a physiological defeat that can happen after a long run of success, where you can have a drop in tension, concentration and determination. I already expect a great performance from the whole team tomorrow.

“We’re not thinking about Roma, as it’s only right that all our focus goes on to tomorrow’s Europa League tie against Lyon. Am I worried about our condition? Not at all.

“I would also like to thank Remi Garde, as being compared to PSG is a real show of respect. He said Juve are a mountain to be climbed? We’ll try to make it unconquerable.”
