The Azzurri have so far won all his games in charge and next month will face Azerbaijan and Malta in qualifiers.

“There is a lot of work to be done,” Conte told reporters during an event in Vicenza.

“Before thinking that we can win the Euros, we must first focus on doing well in qualifying. The important thing is to bring enthusiasm back to the fans after the disappointment of the World Cup."

He refused to be drawn on the current Serie A form, but was asked about Sassuolo’s Simone Zaza and Borussia Dortmund striker Ciro Immobile.

“Zaza and Immobile are two promising young players. They did well and I hope they can do even better in future.”
