Italy boss Cesare Prandelli will be present in Brazil on Saturday as the draw for the 2013 Confederations Cup takes place.

The Azzurri will take part in next summer’s World Cup dress rehearsal after reaching the Final of Euro 2012.

Although Italy didn’t win that competition, they will represent UEFA as eventual winners Spain qualified thanks to their 2010 World Cup triumph.

The competition will take place between June 15 and 30. It will involve Brazil, Spain, Japan, Mexico, Uruguay, Tahiti, Italy and whoever wins the 2013 African Cup of Nations.

The teams will be placed into two groups of four, with the top two qualifying for the semi-finals.

Italy took part in the 2009 Confederations Cup in South Africa, but failed to get out of a group which included Brazil, USA and Egypt.
