Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso has praised the almost 1200 donors in Florence and added a special thanks to winger Franck Ribery.
The Viola Family launched their own charity FORZA E CUORE, to help supporting the Careggi Foundation and the Santa Maria Nuova Onlus Foundation.
Patron Commisso has revealed his pride after learning about the great response so far and sent a message to his sporting director Daniele Prade and CEO Joe Barone.

Patron Commisso has revealed his pride after learning about the great response so far and sent a message to his sporting director Daniele Prade and CEO Joe Barone.
“I’m fine, I want to wish Prade and Barone well, as they are always at work,” he told Lady Radio. “We did the fundraising to help Florence and I’m very proud of the response.
“There are almost 1200 donors, I want to thank them all, regardless of the fee paid. I would also like to thank the players who donated.
The former Bayern Munich star Ribery was among the players who donated and reports have revealed that he gave €50,000 to the local hospitals in Florence.
“Especially Ribery; a champion who came to Italy, got injured after a few months and who is working hard to return to play. He made a significant donation, that’s the beauty of Fiorentina.”
