Rocco Commisso has reiterated that he will not put any pressure on Fiorentina’s players or Coach Vincenzo Montella after a poor start to the season.
Commisso oversaw a rebuild at Fiorentina over the summer as he bankrolled eight signings, including Brazilian striker Pedro, former Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery and ex-Milan attacker Kevin-Prince Boateng.
“I’ve never seen Pedro play live,” the new owner told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I’ve never seen Pedro play live,” the new owner told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“As for Ribery, the other day in training he took Vlahovic aside to explain some things to him.
“Everyone follows Franck because his career speaks for himself. For Ribery, as well as Boateng, his wife was decisive. I had lunch with her and [Boateng’s wife] Melissa Satta.
“I’m here myself thanks to my wife Caterina. While I was assessing my various options, she told me: ‘At least choose a beautiful city.’ Finding one better than Florence was impossible.”
Montella has yet to win a Serie A game since returning as Coach in April, a run extended by two defeats in the Viola’s opening three matches of the season…
“We’ll have to win a game sooner or later… Now what matters is that the lads work well during the break, in a relaxed atmosphere. Everyone, from Montella to the last of our players.
“I have to be supportive and not put any pressure on them. I’ll be back for the match against Juve, but if it goes badly then I’ll watch our next few matches on TV…”
