“I do not make promises that I cannot keep. I don’t tell lies. I just say something when I am certain that I can do it. This will certainly be a different kind of transfer market, as all the clubs have less money freely available, but I want to aim high and certainly be in the top half of the table.
“I want to win it all, but at the same time, we have to be practical and take it one step at a time. It’d be nice if they let me build the stadium, but in any case the objective is to get Fiorentina as one of the world’s top 20 clubs as soon as possible.”
Commisso shrugged at the “100th question on Chiesa” from the media, but answered it anyway.
“If Chiesa wants, then he can leave, but only for the figure that we set. It’s a different matter for Gaetano Castrovilli, as he told me that he wants to remain in Florence. If Chiesa does go, then Castrovilli can have the Number 10 jersey.”
