Atalanta have 11 points and are on the edge of the relegation zone, while Cesena are on eight in penultimate place.
“The victory over Avellino in the Coppa Italia boosted our confidence this week. It’s true we weren’t very sharp against Empoli, but we still picked up a point where it’s tough to get a result recently.
“We know that there are things to improve, but I think we have always played good games on home turf. We certainly cannot afford to think there are any easy matches, especially against Cesena.
“This is a fixture that holds many hidden dangers, as Cesena fight hard in every game and can challenge for survival in Serie A. I expect a real battle.
“On top of that, they have many of our former players, so we know them and they know us.”
