This morning, the Daily Mail reports that the English Premier League side are willing to listen to offers for the former Barcelona man, as well as teammate Samir Nasri.

The newspaper believes that the City board have been disappointed with Toure’s recent performances, including a lacklustre showing in Sunday’s defeat to Manchester United.

However, the move would not be cheap for the Beneamata, with the Citizens likely to demand at least €10m, and the player certain to command huge wages.

That could become more affordable for the club though, with Tuttosport reporting that President Erick Thohir has decided to invest heavily to support Mancini, putting in an €80m loan.

Although that money would not go directly on transfers – rather it would cover operating costs – it would give the club more room to manoeuvre in the market.
