The agent of Roma defender Kostas Manolas says Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea want his client.

The Greek defender was a standout for the Giallorossi last season, and has been heavily linked with a move this summer.

However, the Lupi are very unlikely to sell this summer, as a clause in the agreement which brought the centre-back from Olympiakos means they’d have to give half of any transfer fee to his former side.

In practice, Roma would have to demand double their actual valuation of the player in order to get what they consider a suitable fee.

Despite that, it appears Manolas wants to leave and his agent has stoked the flames in an interview with Il Tempo.

“The best clubs in Europe want him,” Ioannis Evangelopoulos warned.

“There isn’t just Manchester City, but also United and Chelsea. I haven’t spoken with Roma for a while.”

Meanwhile, Gianluca Di Marzio's website states that an improved deal is in the works for Manolas, as the Giallorossi have no intention of selling him.
