Manchester City and Fiorentina have expressed an interest in Udinese revelation Kwadwo Asamoah.

The Ghanaian, born in December 1988, has impressed for the in-form Bianconeri so far this season.

After being linked with numerous clubs, his representative has now revealed the name of two interested parties.

"It's true about Manchester City," agent Claudio Vagheggi noted. "But they are not the only club who are keen.

"Fiorentina were the first outfit to contact me even if I haven't heard from them in a while.

"Fiorentina were the first outfit to contact me even if I haven't heard from them in a while.

"But, logically, if they were interested before then they should still be now because the player is really doing well."

Although the midfielder is a wanted man, Vagheggi was keen to point out that he could remain at the Stadio Friuli.

"It's premature to talk about the market," he added. "The club's plans are tied to where the side finish the season.

"If the team continue to do well and reach important objectives then anything could happen – including the possibility that Asamoah would remain."
