The Nerazzurri have offered the defender a new two-year deal, with the option for a third, but at a reduced salary.
“We still haven’t given Inter an answer,” agent Victor Becali told TMW on Tuesday. “We’re undecided and we want to take our time over the decision.
“We’ll let Inter know of our intentions by the end of this week, possibly on Friday. Let’s see what happens.”
Reports in Turkey today suggested that Galatasaray were keen on the former Ajax and Roma player.
“The Turkish Press say a lot of things,” Becali added. “I have a good relationship with Galatasaray, but there is nothing with Cristian.”
