Chievo’s sporting director has backed Michael Agazzi to succeed at Milan and confirmed the club want to keep Alberto Paloschi.

Agazzi spent the final six months of the season with the Flying Donkeys, after choosing to see out his Cagliari contract, and yesterday was confirmed as having signed a three-year contract with Milan.

For his now former side’s sporting director, the goalkeeper is in line to do well at San Siro.

“Michael is a very good player and a good guy, with all the moral and technical characteristics that will allow him to do well at Milan,” Giovanni Sartori has considered to Tuttomercatoweb today.

Alberto Paloschi’s future is once more up for discussion, following an impressive season with the Gialloblu that included 13 League goals.

“He is co-owned by Milan, today we will start a new programme with Chievo and we will also talk with the Rossoneri to discuss his future.

“We would be happy if he remained with us, but if he were to return to Milan, we will look for both technical and economic compensation in order to replace him.”

Sartori and President Luca Campedelli yesterday handed Coach Eugenio Corini a new three-year contract, following talks over the club’s direction.

“The long contract is an indication of a sharing in the project, the programmes and the objectives, so we will continue forward together for a long time.

“Recently we’ve not given out such long deals? From year to year there has also been a change in thinking. We want to continue together and start a journey that will last for several years.
