However, Sky Sport Italia claim this evening that Sampdoria have stepped forward with a proposal of their own for Giaccherini.

Curiously, Napoli are involved in this move too, because if Sassuolo sell Matteo Politano to Maurizio Sarri’s men, he’ll likely be replaced by Sampdoria’s Gianluca Caprari.
If Samp sell Caprari to Sassuolo, then they hope to bring in Giaccherini.
