“In Florence, Juve have always been the historic rival,” Chiesa, who has been with Fiorentina since the age of 10, told Premium Sport.

“You can already see it two weeks before. Juventus are a great team, of an international level. It will be very difficult to defend and attack, but we’ll give everything for Florence and the shirt.

“Winning against Bologna was important because it gives us an extra incentive and more strength for the game on Friday.

“After a bad defeat against Hellas [Verona], we’re now more ready to face Juventus than we were last week.

“We don’t want to repeat the game with Hellas, we want to get out there on the pitch, run the whole time and give 120 per cent.”
