Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini believes his side should've had a penalty against Roma last night and that Philippe Mexes deserved a red card.

Mexes brought down Alessandro Del Piero in Roma's penalty area late in the second half prompting Juventus to cry foul.

Juventus lost 2-0 and were knocked out of the Coppa Italia at the Quarter-Final stage.

They now only have the Scudetto to play for but remain nine points adrift of League leaders Milan.

"I am disappointed to go out of the Coppa Italia," Chiellini said.

"The game was headed for a 0-0 draw and without a piece of magic would not have been unlocked.

"If then Del Piero had got a penalty and Mexes had been sent off, we would perhaps have seen a different game.

"That aside we are experiencing a difficult moment. The players coming back from injury are forced to play immediately and can't recover calmly.

"We have to roll up our sleeves and get back to winning ways with the help of our fans."
