Juve have won all of their 10 games this season, with many suggesting Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival has only widened the gap between them and the likes of Inter and Napoli, while Pogba has been continually linked with a return to the Bianconeri.

“Ronaldo? He’s amazing,” he told La Stampa.

“His decision to prove himself again at 33 was huge. His winning mentality managed to fill the gap left in the group by Buffon’s farewell.

“Cristiano is a beacon and point of reference, he leads with a positive attitude. In addition to his goals, assists and shots, he’s an exemplary figure. I see him calm and he works with a smile on his face.

“Juve unbeatable? Absolutely not: if we don’t face the matches in the right way or use our heads, we become vulnerable like everyone else. Barcelona and Real Madrid taught us that.

“Napoli and Inter are our biggest rivals for the Scudetto. Milan are growing and Roma are young, but I think they’re targeting Champions League [qualification].

“Higuain? He’s a beautiful person and everyone at Juventus appreciates him. It was surprising to find such a generous and unselfish striker: I didn’t see it as his opponent.

“Piatek has also really impressed me. Pogba? We’d gladly welcome him back. Marotta, with his professional and human skills, can do everything as a director.

“I’ve never heard anyone talk badly about him. I didn’t expect his departure, but I only feel gratitude and affection towards him.”
