Chelsea assistant manager Gianfranco Zola has been hospitalised a second time with a gallstone problem.

The Daily Mail reports Zola underwent surgery to cure a gallstone problem last week but was readmitted due to ‘complications’ from the operation, ruling him out indefinitely.

The Blues legend had been put forward as a possible caretaker until the end of the season in the event Maurizio Sarri was sacked, but his health may have put pay to that.
