In an extraordinary twist, Sportitalia claim Chelsea could snatch Jorginho from Manchester City and use him to get Maurizio Sarri from Napoli.

It is no secret in Italy that Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis is a very tough negotiator and the English media are learning that too over the last few weeks.

Sarri is still under contract, the €8m release clause has expired and talks continue to free him before Chelsea can sack Antonio Conte and appoint the chain-smoking tactician.

At the same time, Jorginho has been on the verge of a €55m move to Manchester City for over a month, yet it has still not been completed.

Television channel Sportitalia maintain both issues could be resolved together if Chelsea agree to pay at least €60m for Jorginho, beating the Manchester City offer.

In that case, Napoli would be more inclined to release Sarri and the pair could work together at Stamford Bridge.

Another option would be Albania international full-back Elseid Hysaj, who played for Sarri at both Empoli and Napoli.
