Having been turned down by Stevan Jovetic, it’s now reported that Chelsea are eyeing his Fiorentina teammate Adem Ljajic.

Jovetic stated this season that he received proposals from several clubs, including Stamford Bridge, but opted to remain with the Tuscans.

According to calciomercato.com, Roberto Di Matteo has now set his sights on fellow Viola player Ljajic.

The 21-year-old Serbian striker hit the headlines last term when he was physically attacked by then-Coach Delio Rossi in a dugout brawl.

He was also publicly criticised by Sinisa Mihajlovic for eating too much chocolate and spending excessive time on the computer.

Ljajic does appear to have matured this season, though he is by no means untouchable in the Fiorentina squad.

He had already been close to joining Premier League club Manchester United in 2010, but the deal was called off at the last minute.
