According to the latest reports, the Champions League Final will be moved from Istanbul to Porto and not to London.

The Final is due to be played between Manchester City and Chelsea on May 29 in Istanbul.

However, considering the game has two English clubs and there are currently serious Coronavirus concerns in Turkey, the English Government appealed to have it moved to Wembley Stadium.

Now Sky Sport Italia are reporting the announcement will be within 24 hours that Portugal has been chosen instead.

It will be at the Estadio do Dragao, which is on the English Government green list of places fans can travel to and from without needing to quarantine.

If the players went to Turkey, they would have to quarantine for at least 10 days in a hotel, which could stall their pre-Euro 2020 preparations.

It’ll also be the second year running that the Champions League Final has been played in Portugal.

Last season, due to the pandemic, the entire final eight was compressed into a straight knockout tournament in various Portuguese cities.
