Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson says playing in the Champions League would be ‘a dream’ for him.
The Brazilian has been in sensational form for the Aquile this season, with nine goals and six assists in his last 12 games, helping his side into the third and final Champions League place.
“It’s the dream of every player to play in it [the Champions League],” Anderson told Brazilian outlet Globoesporte.

“It’s the dream of every player to play in it [the Champions League],” Anderson told Brazilian outlet Globoesporte.
“For many years Lazio haven’t been in that competition, but now we’re able to achieve that goal. The team is motivated, we’re all giving our utmost. I’m focused on this goal above all.
“I’ve just renewed with Lazio for five years, and that means a lot to me. It’s recognition of the work I’ve done, and it will give me extra motivation to do well.
“I can’t wait to get back to Rome and do my best to help Lazio as before [going to Brazil to play for the Under 23s], and even more than before. The season is still long, I want to prove my skills and continue to grow as a player.
“I hope to continue to grow there, the club will decide my fate and I’m calm.”
Despite being one of the Biancocelesti’s best players this season, the 21-year-old reveals he could have been loaned out.
“Last season I had no way to make an impact because I didn’t play many games. This year I started with a different outlook.
“I wanted to stay at all costs, even though there was speculation that I could be loaned out somewhere else.
“I decided it was time to show the real Felipe Anderson. It wasn’t easy to get to this level, I worked hard and now I’m reaping the rewards of my efforts.”
