"He is a player who is of interest to us," stated Cesena sporting director Lorenzo Minotti. "We'll meet with Udinese in the next few days for an update on his situation."

The creative midfielder is back in Udine after Parma turned down their option to take a 50 per cent stake in him after his loan stint at the Stadio Tardini.

Born in February 1987, Candreva started his career at Lodigiani and Ternana before his 2007 switch to Udinese.

He also had 18 months on loan from the Stadio Friuli outfit with Tuscan side Livorno, as well as spending six months on loan at Juventus” data-scaytid=”18″>Juventus.

He's been capped twice by Italy, his first coming in the November 2009 friendly against Holland which ended 0-0.
