Cesena’s Nicola Dalmonte has been handed a precautionary suspension after failing a doping test.
The 18-year-old has scored once in his four Serie B appearances for the Cavallucci Marini, but will now be suspended pending re-testing and any appeal.
“The athlete Nicola Dalmonte tested positive for metabolic Clostebol at the end of the Pescara-Cesena match in Serie B on April 15, 2016,” CONI, the Italian Olympic association which runs the Tribunale Nazionale Antidoping [TNA], announced on its official website.
