Cesena have released an official statement confirming their talks for Fiorentina star Adrian Mutu are over.
A meeting was held today and it was expected a deal could be struck as soon as this evening, but a notice on the club website revealed the opposite.
“On Tuesday June 21 Cesena President Igor Campedelli met with Pietro Chiodi, the Romanian player's agent, in Rome.
“The President was in the city due to other business and took the opportunity to verify the possibility of a move for Mutu.
