The entrepreneur recently completed a takeover of English Championship side Leeds United and at the same time has been in negotiations with interested parties to sell the Sardinian outfit he has owned for more than 20 years.
On from mining mogul Tommaso Giulini confirming that he is in such talks with Cellino over a proposed deal for Cagliari, Cellino has now indicated that a sale of the club is close.
“I am too busy cleaning up the mess at Leeds. I cannot have two clubs,” BBC Leeds quote the Miami-based businessman as saying today.
Cellino recently reportedly listed Leeds as spending in excess of £100,000 a day on operating.
