The daily debate about the resumption of football has led to numerous hypotheses but the UEFA chief has claimed they are ‘evaluating a series of options’ to resume play.
But Ceferin has also suggested that they can’t wait until late 2020 to conclude the current campaign, as it would have a negative affect on the next season.
“It’s too early to say that we can’t complete the season,” Ceferin told the Corriere della Sera. “The impact would be tremendous. We must respect the decisions of the authorities and wait until we are able to play.
“We are evaluating a series of options, always based on the dates to restart. It would be difficult [to conclude the season in September or October], it would weight too much on the calendar of the following season.”
