Edinson Cavani will join up with his Napoli teammates in Turin after his flight problems from South America.

The Uruguayan has still not arrived back in Italy after the international break and he will now meet up with the squad in northern Italy ahead of the Torino tie.

“It would have been better for us if the game was played on Sunday,” Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri stated today. “I’ve not been able to train the squad as I would have liked.

“Cavani will meet up with us there and I’ll then discuss the game with him.”

The striker is thus a doubt for the tie, but he is not the Coach’s only concern. “I’ll be without Valon Behrami, Morgan De Sanctis and Hugo Campagnaro,” he added.

Napoli have only won one of their last six games and Mazzarri is respectful of a Torino side who look set to survive in Serie A.

“I like Giampiero Ventura’s side, he’s given them an identity. They pretty much cause problems for every team that they face.

“They also have Alessio Cerci, who is a really strong player. If we don’t face them in the right way then there could be some nasty surprises.”
