Napoli striker Edinson Cavani will show no sentimentality towards Palermo when he faces his former team on Monday, according to his agent.

The Uruguay international spent four years in Sicily before agreeing to move to Napoli after the World Cup in the summer.

He has quickly become a fans' favourite at the San Paolo, scoring 15 goals in 21 games in all competitions this season.

Speaking to Radio Crc, Cavani's agent Claudio Anellucci said: "He will be emotional, but he is only thinking about giving his best for Napoli.

"We are very happy with the hat-trick he scored against Utrecht. We are disappointed that Napoli could only draw.

"When you have a striker who scores three goals in one game it should be enough to win. Napoli were unlucky.

"Cavani has a special feeling about this match against Palermo. He developed professionally at the club and on a human level he will certainly be emotional.

"But now a new chapter has started and Cavani will only be thinking about doing his best."
