Edinson Cavani has reassured Napoli amid rumours on his future. “I’ll talk to the President, man to man.”

He scored in this evening’s 2-1 Confederations Cup semi-final defeat to Brazil.

“Unfortunately the goal did not get us anywhere. The early penalty save hit our confidence too,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“We attacked more than Brazil, but this is football and we are terribly disappointed. We did some good things, but came up against a strong team.”

Naturally, El Matador was asked about his future, as Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and PSG have all reportedly made offers.

“I am still a Napoli player. I belong to Napoli. As soon as possible I will talk to the President. I have always shown respect for the club.

“I’ll talk to the President, man to man.”

This may well be a reference to President Aurelio De Laurentiis’ comment that Cavani would stay with Napoli “if he’s a man.”
