It's now official – Edinson Cavani has signed a new improved contract with Serie A giants Napoli.

The Uruguayan is now tied to the Stadio San Paolo outfit until 2016 and he's also netted the wage increase that he desired.

Cavani, a summer signing from Palermo, was previously on €1.8m a season. That has now been upped to €2m with a number of bonuses that could see that figure rise even more.
