Reports in the French Press this morning have claimed that Edinson Cavani’s agent met with Paris Saint-Germain to discuss a possible move.

Le Parisien insist that the Napoli forward’s representative had a formal discussion with the team’s sporting director Leonardo to thrash out a possible€63m transfer.

Madrid-based newspaper AS reported on Tuesday that the Uruguay striker was on the verge of joining Chelsea, but the French paper claims that Pierpaolo Triulzi jetted to Paris on Monday morning for an evening meeting with Leonardo.

Gazzetta dello Sport also believe that Triulzi will be in Naples later today to talk over the situation with Partenopei President Aurelio De Laurentiis.

The Ligue 1 champions would have to meet, or come close to paying, the €63m fee which would trigger the release clause in the striker's contract, which runs until 2017.
