Former Lazio and Juventus striker Pierluigi Casiraghi believes the Old Lady will struggle to win the Scudetto and says Alvaro Morata is not surprising him.
The Biancocelesti host the Old Lady at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday and Casiraghi believes there are no favourites.
“Lazio are not living an extraordinary period," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“A win and two draws in the Champions League are not bad, but they are limping a little bit in Serie A even if, honestly, it should be noted that the Covid-19 has had quite an impact.
“Juve, on the other hand, are growing. On paper it is an open match. They are two of the best teams we have admired in Italy in recent seasons. I feel attached to both clubs.”
The 51-year-old, however, thinks Juve will struggle to win the Scudetto although they are still the favourites.
"The will struggle more than usual. Their opponents have improved a lot. I am confident for the Champions League, they can go far.”
The Old Lady can rely on Alvaro Morata who is currently the best scorer of the team with six goals. Casiraghi is not surprised.
“He has settled in well. He is doing better than everyone else, you see that the experience he has gained is weighing on and makes the difference. I was struck by his repertoire: he sees the goal, he moves very well, he helps his teammates. He is a complete striker.”
Paulo Dybala scored the first two goals of the season against Ferencvaros on Wednesday.
“Let’s give him time to reach the top of his condition,” said the former Chelsea striker.
“The qualities of Paulo are indisputable, unfortunately some physical problems have slowed him down. Luckily there is Morata, a certainty.”
