Former Italy Under-21 boss Pierluigi Casiraghi has emerged as a surprise contender for the Brescia job.
Giuseppe Iachini will be replaced on the Lombard bench following relegation from Serie A and Casiraghi is an option.
The tactician has been out of work since he was shown the door by the Italian Football Federation for failing to get the U-21 side to Euro 2011.
Casiraghi's only other previous coaching spells have been with the Monza youth set-up and Legnano.
