Fiorentina are in the thick of negotiations for Chelsea talent Cesare Casadei but face a tough task trying to pull off a deal.
The 21-year-old Italian midfielder spent the first half of last season on loan with Leicester City, working under Enzo Maresca, before returning to the Blues in January, receiving a number of cameo appearances before the end of the season.
Casadei was controversially not brought by Maresca and Chelsea to their pre-season tour in the United States, suggesting that he won’t be part of the squad for next season. Napoli linked Romelu Lukaku was also left out of the team for the trip.

The Florence outfit are continuing talks with the Blues to try and find common ground in the coming days, keen to bring the 21-year-old back to Italy for the 2024-25 season.
