Juan Pablo Carrizo is delighted to have become the latest Argentine to join Italian giants Inter.

The goalkeeper, formerly of River Plate and Catania, was netted last month from Lazio in a €250,000 deal.

“I'm here to give my all, to help my teammates,” the South American told Inter Channel after passing his medical. “It’s an honour to join Inter.

“I'm very proud to be part of this great squad of players, many of whom I already know. I’ve already heard from Javier Zanetti and Rodrigo Palacio who congratulated me.

“It's a very special moment for me.”

Carrizo has been netted to act as a back-up to Samir Handanovic after Luca Castellazzi was recently forced to have shoulder surgery.

“It'll be great to work and train alongside Handanovic,” continued the shot-stopper. “He is an excellent goalkeeper.”
