Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has revealed the Neroverdi are doing their utmost to keep Jeremie Boga, Domenico Berardi and Manuel Locatelli.

The three stars at Sassuolo have become targets for the top clubs in Italy after an impressive season at the Mapei Stadium.

CEO Carnevali insisted the club are looking to match their ambitions and keep building around their best players.

“They’re important players who already have requests, but we wish to continue to develop and must retain our best players to do so,” Carnevali said at a press conference.

“Indeed, if there’s the possibility, we want to integrate the team with other players. This is why we don’t want to surrender.”

Stefano Sensi was loaned out to Inter at the start of the season with an option to buy, but rumours have appeared regarding a return to Emilia-Romagna for the midfielder.

“We will meet with them to decide what to do,” Carnevali admitted. “However, I think Sensi will certainly move on a permanent deal to Inter.”
