Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali confirms Inter asked for both Giacomo Raspadori and Gianluca Scamacca, but were turned down.
They were also at the centre of some transfer speculation over the summer, with strikers Raspadori and Scamacca both heavily linked with a Nerazzurri switch after Romelu Lukaku’s exit.
“Inter wanted both Scamacca and Raspadori, but we always intended to keep hold of them,” Carnevali told Sky Sport Italia.
“In my view, they are not yet ready for big clubs like Inter, so we’ll give them the time and space to mature. We received proposals from lots of places for them, not just from Inter.”
