Capello caused shockwaves on Wednesday when he resigned as manager of England after a disagreement with the FA over John Terry wearing the captain’s armband.
‘Don Fabio’ confirmed in an interview with Italian television that he can “rule out” working as a Coach in Italy.
However, there are strong reports he could go to Russia in order to take over at Anzhi Makhachkala.
The club parted company with current boss Krasnozhan today and Capello is the hot favourite to replace him, the other being Guus Hiddink.
Anzhi are based in Daghestan, but the team lives and trains in Moscow, including former Inter star Eto’o.
