Russia had a blazing start to Euro 2012 only to then suffer a shock exit in the first round with their defeat to Greece.

Manager Dick Advocaat is likely to leave in order to make a return to PSV Eindhoven this summer.

Russian media are confident Capello is top of the wish-list, perhaps inspired by Luciano Spalletti’s success on the Zenit bench.
