But the goalscorer is confident that his team can overcome the odds and shock the world.

“I don’t think about playing against individual players – we’re playing against a country,” he is reported as saying by Calcio News.

“England, Italy and Uruguay are not composed of just a few players. It’s 11 against 11, and obviously we have to do well to win – but this is an important moment for us.

“Can we beat England? Yes, why not. We have a good team. It’s a game, like the others we have to play against Italy and Uruguay.

“We have to do well, but I believe we can win.”
