However, Thiago Motta’s own agent believes that the Beneamata have the players to cope without the Brazilian-born Italian international.

“He was an important player for Inter, but one man doesn’t make a team,” Alessandro Canovi told TMW on Wednesday.

“I’m now waiting for Cambiasso to take Claudio Ranieri’s side by the hand and lead them back up the table…”

Inter, having collected just one point from the last 12 available, are fifth in the standings and six points behind the last Champions League spot.
