Jose Callejon said Napoli are proving the doubters wrong by going top of their Champions League group ahead of Liverpool and PSG.
The 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain at the Stadio San Paolo means Napoli are joint top with Liverpool, but with a superior head-to-head record.
“I think it was a fair result. They had a very good first half, while we pushed forward in the second looking for the equaliser,” the Spaniard told Sky Sport Italia.

“I think it was a fair result. They had a very good first half, while we pushed forward in the second looking for the equaliser,” the Spaniard told Sky Sport Italia.
“It was important not to lose and we wanted more, but the group remains open and we’re still up there.”
It was Callejon who won the decisive penalty, converted by Lorenzo Insigne, when he was sandwiched between Thiago Silva and Gigi Buffon.
“I saw Lorenzo had the shot and Thiago Silva made an error, so I went for it.”
Liverpool suffered a surprising 2-0 defeat away to Red Star Belgrade and it’s now incredibly tight, as the Reds and Napoli have six points, PSG five and Red Star four.
“It’s open now, there are three very important points up for grabs against Red Star Belgrade and we’ve got to give our all.
“As the Coach told us, people thought we’d be dead the moment the draw was made, but we are still up there and can play our football.”
